Our "dXp" Treatment

Polymerization

In a commercial kitchen environment, with a quarry tile floor, those Fatty grease and other molecules left behind by improper cleaning procedures, lay there, and, over time, combine with a lot of other icky stuff to form a hardened polymer substance. When the floor is dry, the polymers behave themselves very nicely, and, oftentimes, look like a deep, dark polish. When wet, however, those very same friendly polymers turn into little "SLIP-DEMONS". Even a very minute amount of liquid can turn a quarry tile floor into a dangerous "Worker's Comp Claim Ready To Happen". When Polymerization occurs, even the newest quarry tile with embedded grit becomes slippery when wet. (It never really kept anyone from slipping, anyway! Did it?)

Mopping the floor is not the solution. It's part of the problem! That's why we created our exclusive dXp "Deep X-Cleaning Process"!

Is our "dXp" Process MAGIC? No, it really isn't. It's just plain ol' hard work, combined with the proper cleaning methods, degreasers, cleansers and, optionally, topped off with our unique X-Tread, Slip Resistant Surface Treatment. The "dXp" Process restores your quarry tile floor to a "Clean As New", Slip-Resistant condition.

How Do We Perform The "dXp" Process? Hard work. We literally scrub your floor with a combination of water and heavy duty cleansers & degreasers, rinse, wet vac, (sometimes repeat) removing those tough polymers. After the floor dries, we apply our exclusive X-Tread, Slip-Resistant Surface Treatment which finishes the process, making your quarry tile floor slip-resistant when wet. dXp does not harm or damage the floor, and it will reduce, or eliminate accidents due to slips 'n falls.

How Much Does the "dXp" Process Cost? With X-Tread applied, the "dXp" Process averages $1.70 - $3.50 per square foot of surface area ($350.00 minimum); Depending on existing floor conditions, and preparation required (sweeping, vacuuming, etc.).  A Zone Charge may also added, depending on your location. And, there are a lot of geographic locations that are un-economical to service from our middle Tennessee home office location. That's why we sell the stuff (X-Tread).

How Long Does It Take?  Again, it depends on the amount of preparation involved. The "dXp" Process is performed during closing hours or holidays, and typically completed before opening. On an average, 400 S.F. can be completed in about 1 1/2 hours. During the "dXp" Process, an Authorized customer employee will need to be present. Payment is due at the completion of the job. HAVE YOUR CHECK READY!

How Often Should the "dXp" Process Be Performed? To maintain a safe surface environment, dXp should be performed at least every 4 months. It's a small price to pay to guard against Slip 'n Fall accidents, and lawsuits under the ADA.

Is There A Warranty? Yes, of course. When we have provided the service, we provide a 4 month's warranty on the X-Tread surface to maintain its slip-resistance. And, we don't try to sell you any special, magic chemicals to maintain the surface. HOWEVER, if a warranty claim is made, we will follow our own maintenance procedures (proper floor cleaning), as we had instructed you to do. If this restores the slip-resistance, a minimum service fee of $350.00, plus Zone charges will be charged.

If you own or manage a restaurant with a quarry tile kitchen floor, you need our "dXp" Process.
